Barely anyone wants to have the portrait of their child or parent tattooed on their body, for the simple fact that it doesn’t look good. Obviously more recent designs tend to attract more attention. New designs come out, they become popular, and then make way for breakthrough trends. It’s now even absurd to think of anyone not getting a job just for having one. Fashion magazines consider certain tattoo artists as some of the best designers and creators of recent years. The women who told their children they’d look like delinquents and criminals can no longer use the same rhetoric when they walk around Whole Foods or the mall and see so many people with tattoos covering all or some of their bodies. They’re no longer exclusively tied to gang affiliations, time in prison, or even social exclusion. What once only belonged to particular communities and groups is now a symbol of status and social position.

I am in love with my tattoo/placement and if I ever get another one I will for sure go back to Timeless Tattoo.Tattoos are often a phase, a fad, or even a form of identification. Dymond was amazing, patient and funny as hell. Long review short, I'm so happy I listened to the bad reviews at Lady Luck and went to Timeless. When I eventually decided to go through with it, I took his suggestions and he made me feel at ease. He was EXTREMELY patient with me, even after I had decided about four times that I no longer wanted to do it. He talked over my tattoo with me made some suggestions about size and modifying the placement of what I originally wanted. When I walked in, Dymond was at the front desk. I drove over on Friday, scared to death about putting something permanent on my body. Everyone seemed so upset about these two leaving that it seemed stupid to not look into Timeless. I noticed that lately they started to get bad reviews because two artists left to open their own place - Timeless Tattoo. I researched places around Portland and looked into Lady Luck because I always drive by it on my way to work. I've been looking into getting my first tattoo for about a year now. It's been about a month now and I'm ready to go back.

TIMELESS TATTOO PROFESSIONAL

He was very professional and really made me enjoy the experience because it was painful. The tattoo hurt like a bitch as it was my first and was on my ribs, but he talked me through the whole thing so a TIMES I even forgot what was going on. Also the price for my tattoo beat lady luck's price by a long shot. Then he took me through multiple sketches and ideas really took his time without even asking. I told him first things first, can I keep my bike in here, he told me he'd preferred it. It was so clean, and nobody was in there, a man popped out and ask if he could help me. So that was the second place I went after. I remember seeing this little shop's sign "Timeless Tattoo" on the way to lady luck. I simply replied " well then you just lost business". I walk in and the first thing a worker says to me is "you can't bring your bike in" in a totally rude tone.

TIMELESS TATTOO FULL

The place was jam-packed full and I didn't have a lock for my bike. I knew of one place close to home, "Lady Luck". I was on my bike, the day before I left for college and I was riding to go get my first tattoo done.
